Spokane Halestorm: An Event Story

On October 11, 2025, The Everest Duality Tour came to Spokane. I had tickets almost right after the event was announced. The Arena is an odd place to photograph, due to the distance and set up. However, we did have center seats and the ability to enjoy the concert.

The night started out with Apocalyptica playing Metallica’s big hits, on Cello’s. While the music was upbeat and hard, I have never been a huge fan of instrumental only or Metallica, thereby not totally enjoying the opening band. That being said, they were really good in what they did and the covers.

As Apocalyptica ended, Lindsey Stirling began. The lighting for Stirling’s set was on point. The gate had fire, made from the lighting, flickering up it, and the music went through the process of dark versus light and loss.

Lindsey Stirling is super energetic and acknowledged her band mates and dancers, as she flitted across the stage. Having watched Stirling since she started as a YouTube based artist, it’s fun to watch how she brings the magic from her videos, onto the stage.

Following Lindsey Stirling came Halestorm, with singer Lizzy Hale. Prior the Halestorm starting up, one of the radio hosts from 94.5 tried to get a wave going, which was entertaining. It took him several times before the crowd was successful, and the reactions were priceless. Once the crowd figured it out, Hailstorm entered the stage,

Hailstorm brought an energy with them that pumped the crowd and started with some of her older music. This erupted into the crowd singing excitedly to the band.

The set was song after song of emotion and passion. The last song, prior to leaving, was from the new album, Everest. The entire concert seemed to go through the inner battles we all face and being unafraid to be our true selves.
